Here at Southdown, we aspire to be Brilliant with people. As our new HR Projects Manager, you’ll help us by leading and delivering HR modernisation projects that simplify and standardise HR processes and practice across the organisation.
Working with our senior HR colleagues, you’ll create clarity and order by assessing priorities and bringing together an overarching plan for all HR modernisation projects. You will then help us strengthen HR practice and enhance employee and line manager experience by delivering a range of ’internal customer’ focused HR Projects. You will deploy your project management experience and skills so that implementation is successful, with good stakeholder and risk management carried out throughout the project life cycle.
Supported by a Change Realisation Officer, you’ll also be skilled in change management including change impact assessment and change readiness preparations.
Working in a multi-disciplinary and psychologically informed way this varied role requires you to be an experienced and knowledgeable HR Projects management professional, able to design and embed practical and proportionate solutions as part of a small Organisational Design and Development Team.

Each client has their own accessible bedroom, allowing for privacy and space. There is a spacious lounge and kitchen/diner where clients can be together and a large garden surrounding the property.

The Wellbeing Hub - Staying Well Crisis Prevention Service (Brighton & Hove)

Southdown are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to manage a team of Recovery Advisors and Peer Workers for the Staying Well Brighton and Hove crisis prevention service. This is an innovative service offering out of hours support to people experiencing acute distress due to their mental health difficulties. This psychologically informed service follows a crisis café model and is a model that we deliver across East Sussex.
We are looking to appoint a full time Team Manager to lead our non-clinical team based in Brighton. The role will involve regular evening and weekend working alongside the team and coordination of the day to day running of the service. The Team Manager will offer line management, non-clinical supervision, and reflective practice to the staff team. The service is part of the citywide UOK partnership, and the Team Manager will be a key contact for relevant stakeholders to ensure the overall quality of the service and will assist in ensuring the service is meeting its stated objectives.
You will be closely supported in your role by the Senior Service Manager, and you should have experience of managing a team and delivering supervision to non-clinical staff. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of our innovative community mental health services within the city. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a good level of experience of working with people with mental health needs, a good understanding of local NHS and other support services and will be able to demonstrate a high level of resilience and ability to work autonomously.
